Kyrgyzstan is an extremely mountainous country. The enormous mountains and rolling mountain ranges make up approximately ninety percent of the land within the country. This beautiful land also contains many valleys, deserts, and clear blue lakes. The highest elevation point within the country is Jengish Chokusu at 7,439 m, and the lowest point of elevation is Kulundy Village at 401 m. This large change in elevation is greatly due to the enormous peaks of the mountains.
The nationality of the people that live in Kyrgyzstan is Kyrgyzstani, but there is a large variety of ethnic groups that call this land their home. These groups include, but are not limited to, Kyrgyz, Russian, Uzbek, Dungan, Korean, and German. The population, as of 2011, is 5,477,620 people. The main religions within Kyrgyzstan are Islam and Russian Orthodox. Although there are a couple of languages that are spoken here, the official language is Russian and the state language is Kyrgyz (our team can assist you with Kyrgyz translations). The majority of people speak Russian, but the country is known as a bilingual country because of the official and state languages.
The people of Kyrgyzstan are extremely friendly and hospitable. While staying in this country, they are great hosts and ensure that visitors are taken care of. Bringing various treats, such as fresh yogurt and milk, are a common occurrence here.
Within Kyrgyzstan there are various natural resources, including an abundance of hydro power; numerous gold and rare earth metal deposits; natural gas, coal, and oil; other iron, copper, tin, and mercury deposits can be found as well. The land within this country is also used for agricultural purposes and various products are produced. These products include wheat, cotton, and tobacco. Different vegetables are grown including potatoes, sugar beets, and beans. There are also fruits grown that include apples, apricots, peaches, grapes, and berries. Various animal and animal products are raised here as well, including sheep, cattle, goats, and wool.
This country also works within various industries. The types of industry range from small machinery to producing construction materials. With all of the natural resources that this land holds, they are also in the industry of mining and using those mined resources for creating products, everyday use, or for trading.
Agriculture and natural resources contained within the land are extremely important to the economy and the people of Kyrgyzstan. They use the land that they have in order to raise what they need not only for themselves but to also use for trading with other countries.
