Assyrian Language Translation
When mentioning Assyrian you may actually be referring to 1 of 2 language options.
The first is a Dialect of the Akkadian language, but this is an extinct language that was once spoke in ancient Assyria. We must mention this to ensure we are discussing the correct language.
Perhaps the more likely option is the modern Assyrian Neo-Aramaic language, of which there are over 220,000 speakers currently. This language is spoken in Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria.
